Dr. Rajesh Ingle

Dr. Rajesh Ingle is a CEO, distinguished researcher and former Vice-Chancellor. With more than 36 years of experience in research, industry and academia Dr. Rajesh Ingle is well regarded and respected in his field. Prior to joining SSPU, Dr. Rajesh Ingle served as Dean Academics, HoD (CSE) and Professor in Computer Science and Engineering, at international institute of information technology, Naya Raipur (IIIT-NR). Dr. Ingle’s academic credentials include a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from institutes affiliated to the University of Pune and subsequently a Doctorate from CSE, IIT Bombay. Prior to joining IIIT-NR, he was a Professor in Computer Science and Engineering at PICT, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, India and Adjunct Professor at Government College of Engineering Pune. He has also served as SENATE Member of Savitribai Phule Pune University, Dean (2nd Shift), Head, Department of Computer Engineering and Head, EDC & Business Incubation Centre.

In recognition of his outstanding dedication, Dr. Ingle was honored with the 2014 IEEE Outstanding Branch Counsellor Award from IEEE, USA, and the 2019 IEEE Region 10 Outstanding Volunteer Award for his exceptional contributions and services to IEEE Pune Section and IEEE Region 10. He has received Ph.D. Computer Science and engineering from Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Powai, Mumbai. He has received the B.E. Computer Engineering from University of Pune, and M.E. Computer Engineering from Government College of Engineering Pune. He has also received M.S. Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, India, in 1994.

He is a senior member of the IEEE, IEEE Communications Society, and IEEE Computer Society. He has worked as Chairman, IEEE R10 (Asia Pacific) Student Activities Committee (2015-2018). He is also working as Vice Chair, IEEE India council. He has worked as branch counselor of IEEE Student branch(PISB), and President of PICT ALUMNI Association. He is also associated with Symbiosis University and other research centres. He has worked on and associated with various BOS’s In IT and CSE in different universities including Pune University and Shivaji University. He has organized a number of international conferences and meetings in various countries including Japan, USA, Hongkong, Malyasia, Netherland, Srilanka, Australia. He has guided more than 600 Projects at UG and PG level. Eight students working with him completed PhD (Computer Engineering) and four students are working with him for doctoral research. He has more than 85 research publications at various Conferences and Journals of national and international repute.
